WHAT ARE SECURITIES SERVICES?

Securities services companies help their clients in closing transactions such as  in buying or selling stocks, bonds and/or securities such as financial instruments (SBLC's/BG's/MTN's etc). The Securities services broker will, on behalf of each client, places a buy and/or sell order for a particular opportunity, and then provide a statement to the customer on the final outcome of each respective transaction.

 

The securities service, is ordinarily based on a trade by trade commission only basis to the client.

Securities services companies who provide these services, are commonly referred to as full-service Securities companies. These facilities and the advice are provided to the client, is directly reflected in the cost of service, as agreed in the service level contract (SLA),  provided by the  Securities company.

Clients who are capable and willing to engage in their own research will only require the Securities company to provide executed orders without any investment advice are normally able to utilise the services of discount brokers who are able to offer lower fees. This allows almost all people to be able to trade stocks and securities.

SALES

UAS sales division is the area of our enterprise that most individual retail investors engage with, most frequently. Within the UAS retail sales department, our investment advisors normally concentrate on specialist areas of investments. UAS investment advisors provide stockbroker only services, to our clients if required. All UAS advisors pride themselves on being very flexible and multi faceted, providing additional services such as, mutual fund transactions, bond trading, and life insurance sales.

At UAS, we have specific sales executives who specialise in institutional sales, selling new securities issues to traders with institutional clients. Institutional clients are entities such as pension funds and mutual funds and Investment banks.

UNDERWRITING & FINANCING

UAS Institutional sales division integrates closely with our underwriting and  financing department. The UAS underwriting & Financing department organises all necessary security issues and co-ordinates  securities matters related to the secondary market. UAS's underwriting & finance department negotiates on behalf of the client with agents or government departments who issue securities, establish security types, pricing, discounts and setting of interest rates where required.

TRADING

UAS's trading group provides trading facilities of different types of securities, focusing specifically on bonds, stocks, or specific financial instruments such as SBLC's, BG's and MTN's. UAS's trade group focus typically on specialist areas of the bond market, such as Treasuries, Municipal bonds, the Money market instruments, or Corporate debt.

UAS trading department delivers orders from retail individuals and institutional and entities alike. UAS stock traders maintain very close relationships with traders of stock exchanges in order to get the very best deals for our clients. Our traders also work with financial instruments, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, options, commodities, and futures contracts.

RESEARCH & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

Our research division supports all of UAS's associated departments and divisions with our securities analyst specialists delivering essential information, relevant data and advice to support traders, sales people, and associated underwriters. The information provided by UAS analysts is essential to facilitate the selling and pricing of existing and the issuing of new securities.
